Q. Why am I writing blogs?
Ans.
Three reasons.
First, I have read blogs by five people now, all of them are about my age only. Two from the male of the species and three from, I don’t know what they call them now, the females or is it the supermales. Whatever. I also don’t know whether I am supposed to take names here but I will risk it. I say this because Sahay doesn’t. I have read Anurag’s and Sahay’s. Now if they can do it, I can do it better. This was the first thing that crossed my mind. Why? Because I think I have a better writing style, better vocabulary and most importantly I am a case study on somebody suffering from, rather enjoying, superiority complex. Freud would have loved to have me as a specimen in his laboratory.
Second, I read Jimmy’s and couldn’t understand much of it. She writes some heavy stuff on some heavier issues. But then she can do it and get away with it. You know how it is with the supermales. So, I thought that my blog would make things a little light, as in opposite to heavy.
Third, I read two more supermales’. One I accidentally hit upon and the other was recommended. I wont take there names, simply to avoid being labeled a casteist which I know I am not. And also to stop people from getting any ideas. See, you already started getting some. Coming back, both of them write exceptionally well, which, I must admit. I think they copy it from somewhere. Again superiority complex, or is it the male ego this time. So, to counter plagiarism too.
Q. Why this name for my blogs?
Ans.
I thought of having something creative and attention grabbing. Three names occurred. “Aukaat mein raho”, had heard from a senior, more like a reminder to myself and a little derogatory too. Ruled out. “Washing dirty linens”, I wouldn’t, always. Again ruled out. “Please do not read”, too clichéd and felt like I was begging. Ruled out again. Then, what is the big deal about blogs that I am thinking so much to name mine. There is more to life than mere blogs. It stuck but with trimmings.
Q. Anything else I want to say?
Ans.
A lot. That’s why I am here, but to start with, just three things.
First, I feel if you can actually and honestly write what you think, then, you are a good writer. So, expect nothing but honesty from a writer like me.
Second, I read somewhere that if something happens once, it will never happen again. But if it happens twice, it is bound to happen again. So, for the moment all you need to do is wait for my second post.
And third, a little praise never hurt anyone.
